Keke Palmer, the star of Nickelodeon’s True Jackson VP and a part of our JAM Role Model Hall of Fame, celebrated her Sweet 16 last weekend! She had a prom-themed party in Los Angeles and partied all night with family and friends, like ICarly’s Miranda Cosgrove and rapper Lil Mama. We want to wish Keke a very happy 16th birthday! Every season I look forward to the Women’s Fashion section of The New York Times Style Magazine. The Fall 2009 issue, which hit newsstands yesterday, was filled with great articles and beautiful photographs. Although most of us won’t be wearing the fashions in the magazine, we can ALL use the tips on trends from designers when putting together our looks for Fall. The “Must-Haves” section of the magazine offered some great tips! It featured beaded shoes and bags, bright colored belts, and leather jackets as hot styles for the upcoming Fall season.
There were a lot of great articles to read in this issue, but there was one that especially caught my eye…a feature on 15-year old actress Dakota Fanning – a great role model for girls of any age! In addition to the article, Dakota was photographed in a variety of gorgeous designer clothes. The designer clothes are very expensive, but Dakota put her own spin on the clothes making them look age appropriate. I encourage everyone to take a look at these photographs to inspire your own unique style!

With performances from Miley Cyrus, Sean Kingston, and Fergie, and an onstage haircut for Joe Jonas from Mike Tyson, things got pretty exciting last night at the 2009 Teen Choice Awards! In addition to performing her new song “Party in the USA,” Miley took home 6 awards! Robert Pattison and Megan Fox both won the choice Hottie Award. Zac Efron seemed pretty surprised when he beat out Seth Rogen, Ben Stiller, Will Ferrell, and Jim Carrey to win the choice Movie Actor Comedy Award – do you think he was the right choice? Did you watch the show last night? Did any of your favorites take home one of the coveted surfboards?!
