I wanted to thank all of you for coming out to the Barnes and Noble event for the My Tween Lifestyle Collection on Saturday! It was so amazing to have my models and their mom’s give their input from the audience, and to see some new faces. I’ve gotten a bunch of calls from raffle winners that had a great time at the New York Liberty victory game on Sunday. I was there too and it was an amazing game. And to watch Kym Hampton – the legendary player – sing the National Anthem in that high stylized manner was so beautiful, and it gave me the goose bumps!
Kym was one of my guest panelists at the event, and I took away a really helpful comment that she made. I asked her how she deals with a game when she’s shooting baskets, but the ball just isn’t going in the hoop. She said, that’s the day to take less shots, and to focus on assists or being a better guard. Good advice for anyone who is having an off-day in any activity! New York Fashion Week!

Fashion week is in full force and a lot of the top designers have already shown their new Spring collections! A lot of the designers, like Diane Von Furstenberg and Donna Karan worked floral prints into their designs. Instead of presenting her designs in a fashion show, Victoria Beckham chose to personally show her new line to small groups of editors and retailers. The pieces at New York Fashion Week were both fashionable AND wearable! Have any of your been following Fashion Week? Who are your favorite designers? Tonight is Fashion’s Night Out, the official kickoff to New York’s Fashion Week! The New York Times picked out their favorite events that are happening around the city tonight…
- Ralph Lauren on Bleecker Street will have cupcakes from Magnolia Bakery and an appearance from Gossip Girl star, Blake Lively.
- Sing along to the songs of “Hair” with Anna Wintour at Macy’s Queens Center at 5 pm.
- After 8 pm – head downtown to Bleecker Street for a live musical performance from other Gossip Girl, Taylor Momsen, OR to Saks Fifth Avenue to see Justin Timberlake.
