Rihanna rockin’ the masculine look in Hawaii

Hey JAM Girls, want to go shopping and NOT spend any of that hard-earned allowance money? Look no further than your brother’s closet!

Some of the hottest names in fashion have featured their female models in masculine, edgy clothes. This style has been on the scene for decades and has recently been made popular by celebs like Rihanna, Jessica Alba, Miley Cyrus, and Hilary Duff!

Oversized blazers, baggy jeans, trousers, suspenders, loafers, brimmed hats, and even neck ties are all HOT right now!

Here’s an easy way to get you started with your chic new look: Throw on a pair of comfy loose-fitting jeans and cuff them a few times (make sure you wear a belt to keep them from falling!) Pair a scoop-neck tee under a blazer that is one or two sizes bigger than what you’d normally wear. Complete the look with Converse or Vans sneakers, and a few bangle bracelets for a feminine touch.

This past weekend was packed with events! It was Valentine’s Day on Sunday, President’s Day on Monday and all through the weekend there were fabulous fashion shows taking place right in the center of New York City.

This weekend some of our favorite designers like Alexander Wang, Alice + Olivia, Charlotte Ronson, DKNY, Betsey Johnson, Zac Posen and Marc Jacobs debuted their Fall 2010 fashion lines. Some of the latest trends emerging from the runway included fun patterns, bright colors, metallics, and tailored jackets for girls.
